Sunnymead Residential Home invite applications for the post of Registered Residential Home Manager

Location: 12 Portadown Road Armagh BT61 9EE

Job Description

You will be responsible for the overall management of the Residential care home, supervising and leading the team to deliver excellent standards of care to residents and their families.

Care will be carried out in accordance with individual care plans, whilst promoting privacy and dignity, enhancing independence, rehabilitation and personal choice.

The Role: Main duties and responsibilities

  • To lead and motivate a team to deliver special experiences to residents, promoting choice and independence that make a positive difference to their daily lives
  • Achieve the highest possible standards of care to enhance the resident experience by ensuring colleagues meet the individual needs of residents in accordance with company policy, regulations and Codes of Conduct and individual care plans.
  • To write and implement care home policies directed towards high standards of residential care and staff welfare and training, ensuring the good reputation of the business in co-operation with the Registered Provider.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care of residents.
  • Ensure treatments are carried out as prescribed.
  • Maintain Continuous Professional Development.

Desired Criteria/ Required Criteria

One of the following qualifications with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Health & Social care setting for Older people, which includes a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant operational management capacity.

  • Registered nurse with a live NMC Registration
  • A professional Social Work qualification registered on the appropriate part of NISCC register.

OR

One of the following qualifications with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health & Social Care setting for Older people, which includes a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant operational management capacity.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (Adult Residential Management)
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care (Adult Residential Management) Northern Ireland & Wales
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care (Adult Residential Management) Northern Ireland & Wales
