Recycling Attendant

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working alongside Ards & North Down borough council, who are currently recruiting for Recycling Attendants to join their sites in Bangor, Holywood and Donaghadee.
Your new role
You will be responsible for making sure the site is kept clean and tidy for public use, ensuring cleaning materials and other equipment are well stocked. You will be needed to use a range of equipment including a compactor, wood roller, and cardboard bailer while adhering to the necessary health and safety standards. Working as a recycling attendant, you will assist members of the public with any queries, including ensuring waste is segregated correctly, and any hazardous materials are stored properly. You will also be needed to complete a range of paperwork, including recording tonnages, maintaining a site diary and recording any incidents on site.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for any of these positions, you will need to have previous customer service experience, and be confident dealing with members of the public. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience keeping records and completing paperwork accurately. A recent employment reference will be necessary.
What you'll get in return
A variety of shift patterns is on offer from Wednesday to Sunday, with times including 8.00-17.00, 9.00-17.00 and 10.00-16.00.
