Assistant Marketing Manger

MCS Group is currently working alongside a national household brand in the fresh food sector to recruit an Assistant Marketing Manager for their established and expanding business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and responsible for 2 other members of the marketing and communications team, this role provides an exciting opportunity for a marketing all-rounder who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Informing and delivering the marketing strategy on time and within agreed budget
• Project and campaign management, delivering, measuring, and evaluating success and ROI
• Deputise and supervising the marketing department to represent the Head of Marketing within their areas of control/expertise as required
• Engaging with external agencies to build relationships which will form collaborative partnerships and help to raise the profile of the brand
• Ensure the brand message is strong and consistent across all marketing channels
• Communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• The role will involve implementing a regional retailer support plan and availability campaign
• Conducting market research, insights, competitor analysis and interpreting data, monitor and evaluate insights
• The role will also include managing and co-ordinating event plans and attending food events throughout the UK and Ireland
• Following company housekeeping, health, and safety requirements

Essential Criteria:

• Educated to degree level with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in marketing, digital, business, public relations or media including organising events; or have equivalent work experience
• Understanding and competent implementing marketing strategies both traditionally and online
• Excellent project management skills
• The ability to manage the day-to-day operations within the department and ensure KPIs and targets are met
• Responsible for managing and supervising staff
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous eye for detail.
• Excellent IT Skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams – Macintosh or Windows.
