NI tech firms urged to enter top 50 contest

5th July 2018

The race is on to rank the fastest growing technology companies on the island of Ireland.

The 2018 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme is now open for entries to recognise the home-grown IT companies which have demonstrated outstanding growth in turnover over the last four years.

The awards are now in their 19th year and Deloitte is calling on companies right across the tech spectrum to apply.

Sixteen local companies made the Fast 50 last year, with Belfast- based Ozaroo Retail, one of the UK and Ireland’s fastest-growing online retailers, the highest ranking Northern Ireland business at number six in the countdown.

Dublin-based eShopWorld, which provides ecommerce and logistics management solutions to retailers, has secured the top spot for three years running. It achieved a growth rate of 3,632% over four years.

Software, hardware, communications, media, clean-tech and life sciences are all being encouraged to enter this year.

The closing date for entries is September 14, with the winners announced on November 2.
