Jackson family thrilled with degrees

21st September 2015

A HUSBAND and wife who both returned to study have graduated from South Eastern Regional College (SERC).

Nigel Jackson, 55, and his wife, Marion, 48, from Lisburn attended evening classes at SERC to study for the Liverpool John Moore’s BA honours Business Studies degree.

The couple had to juggle studying at SERC with work and looking after their seven children, as well as running the family business interests.

Commenting on the reason for their return to study, Nigel said: “We believed that getting a degree would assist us in advancing our businesses by adding credibility to our CVs and equipping us with the knowledge and skills required to add value to more areas of our businesses.

“The time we spent at SERC was an unforgettable experience. We have really enjoyed studying and I would like to thank the tutors for their support and excellent supervision.”

Having achieved their honours degrees, the couple are looking forward to putting their new found skills and knowledge to good use in their multiple business ventures and Marion is also preparing to study for a master’s degree.
