CIPD NI Awards go digital for 2020

2nd September 2020

The eighth annual Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development Northern Ireland (CIPD NI) Awards are going digital for 2020. The event, which was originally due to take place at Titanic Belfast in May, will be live-streamed from Belfast on Thursday October 1 from 4pm. Hosted by television presenter Pamela Ballantine, CIPD NI are promising all of the excitement, celebration and recognition that would have been experienced at the gala event.

The CIPD NI Awards are the leading awards for the HR profession in Northern Ireland. Over 12 categories, the awards celebrate the impact and achievements of individuals and teams working in HR and L&D.

This year’s awards were expanded to include new categories for external consultancy and SME of the Year, and the CIPD were very impressed with both the number and standard of entries received for this year’s awards.

The shortlist, which was announced in March includes individuals and teams from organisations of all sizes and sectors from across Northern Ireland.

The judging process has remained vigorous and the panel of senior academics and HR leaders will be conducting interviews with all 42 finalists next month.

Lee Ann Panglea, Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland said: “We had originally hoped to reschedule the awards to later this year, but when it became apparent that that wouldn’t be possible, we switched our efforts to creating an exciting digital experience that will retain the excitement for the nominees and winners.

“We hugely appreciate the continued support of our judges, our headline sponsor MCS Group, our media partner nijobfinder and all of our category sponsors, and we hope that people professionals from across Northern Ireland and further afield will join us on October 1 to celebrate the achievements of our profession, and hear who has gone the extra mile in championing better work and working lives in Northern Ireland.”
