Care workers will have the opportunity to support individuals by offering assistance, comfort and respect to them in their own home. This could involve the provision of a range of services to the elderly, disabled and vulnerable members of the community. Full time and part time opportunities are available.
It is vital that applicants have their own transport with a full driving licence and business class insurance to access client locations, access to a mobile phone for work purposes and excellent communication skills. Applicants with at least six months’ experience of caring for dependent adults and those with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or related discipline are preferred.

Salary: £8.21 – £8.51 per hour
Wilson Group is a leading healthcare company with over 25 years’ experience in the private nursing home sector. They have five nursing homes located in Northern Ireland.
The company is recruiting care assistants and senior care assistants across Co. Antrim and Co. Down.
As part of the caring team, the care assistants will be tasked with helping to create and maintain a healthy and safe environment and meet the personal needs of residents. Care assistants will assist residents with mobility and personal hygiene, encourage residents to get involved with recreational and social activities, as well as listen to, talk and support residents. There are full time and part time, day and night duty positions available.
Applicants will need to be physically fit to assist with the moving and handling of residents and be registered or working towards registering with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
Experience of working in a similar type of working environment or experience of working as a carer is desired.
Salary: care assistants will receive £8.21 per hour (to increase to £8.72 per hour in April 2020) and senior care assistants will receive £9.85 per hour.
Presbyterian Church in Ireland
The Presbyterian Church in Ireland is seeking to recruit a host of care assistants to join its team providing care and support for residents within the Christian ethos and aims of the Council for Social Witness.
Care assistants will be required to assist residents with dressing/undressing and bathing where necessary, assist and encourage resident’s mobility, administer resident’s medication and accompany them to hospital appointments, in addition to contributing to the assessment of and care planning for resident’s needs. Day and night-time positions are available.
It is essential that applicants have an understanding of older peoples needs within a residential setting, possess awareness of health and safety practices within a working environment, be willing to work flexible hours and be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council within 6 months of appointment. Experience of working with older people is desirable.
Salary: £8.91 – £8.97 per hour
