A £2m leisure development in Co Armagh is set to create up to 50 jobs.
Brothers Nigel and Glenn Sands have spent around three years acquiring and developing the motorboat centre in Kinnego Marina in Lurgan, set on the southern shores of Lough Neagh.
Now known as Sands Marine, the existing boats and chandlery unit is to be expanded to provide a leisure vessel distribution centre. A range of boats will also be on sale – including kayaks, cruisers and motor boats.
Nigel Sands said: “The experience here has already been compared to the best in north America and Australia with a proper mechanics’ service, expert advice and, of course, direct access to the freedom of the Lough.”
He added: “We want to work closely with Craigavon Council to make Kinnego the gateway for the perfect aquatic playground.”
