Belfast Networking Event

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2018, Peter Coppinger, will address a major cross-border networking event in Belfast next month.

Hosted by Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) and Bank of Ireland UK, over 150 businesses from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are expected to attend the event on May 2 at Belfast’s Hilton Hotel.

In addition to being the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Peter Coppinger is CEO and Founder of Cork-based IT company, Teamwork.

Teamwork is a Software as a Service company founded by Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey 12 years ago. The expanding company, who have a list of high-profile clients, such as Disney, Spotify and PayPal, employ 240 people around the world and have recently begun development of new offices in Belfast creating 85 jobs in the area.

This event is part of NI Chamber’s Connecting for Growth initiative, in partnership with Bank of Ireland UK, and is designed to enable organisations to take advantage of Northern Ireland’s nearest export market, the Republic of Ireland.

This event will focus on practices that boost business performance enabling companies to identify and seize opportunities and will include a cross-border panel discussion.

Commenting on the event. Mr Coppinger said: “The cross-border relationship is more important now than ever before. We set up an office in Belfast 11 months ago and it has been a huge success. There’s a fantastic business eco system with an amazing talent pool to choose from. I’m very much looking forward to speaking at the NI Chamber cross-border networking event and sharing the Teamwork story to date.”
