Is a job in the Armed Forces for you?
The Armed Forces are holding a careers exhibition on the 17th and 18th March at Kinnegar Logistic Base in Holywood. The two-day event will take place from 11am to 4pm, giving anyone interested in a career in the Armed Forces the chance to find out everything they need to know about what life in the military entails.
The Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force will all be in attendance to offer a first hand insight into both full and spare time roles available.
Visitors will have the chance to see some of the latest high-tech equipment the Army, Royal Navy and RAF have to offer, including the Challenger 2 tank, Gazelle Helicopter, AS 90 self-propelled gun and the new MLRS (Multi Launch Rocket System).
With careers in numerous disciplines offering fantastic pay and benefits, job security along with professional training and qualifications, there is much more to life in the Army than being in combat. The exhibition will also feature an Engineering Village, which will provide visitors with an in-depth look at the range of trades available in the Armed Forces.
Members of the Territorial Army will be on hand to talk about the fantastic opportunities people can avail of in their spare time, and visitors can also learn about how they can fast-track their military training in one residential course this summer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a full or spare time role to learn more about the variety of options available, as well as getting an invaluable insight into what life in the military is really like.
The Kinnegar Logistic Base is on the Kinnegar Road, just off the Belfast Road (A2) to Bangor. For access to the event take the turn off for IKEA and use the Park & Ride facility at Airport Road. Proof of ID is required for entry.
