Londonderry bus firm adds six new coaches in £400k move

3rd March 2015

Londonderry bus firm Airporter is adding six new coaches to its fleet in a £400,000 expansion.

The company runs a transfer service between Belfast’s airports and Londonderry – carrying more than 100,000 passengers a year.

And it’s set to add new staff in the next few months, and has already taken on a dozen workers over the last year.

Managing director Niall McKeever said the company’s reputation “has been built on supplying a reliable, well-priced, comfortable transfer between the two cities”.

“We understand that our customers demand high levels of frequency connecting the airports and as such have increased our daily services to 18 departures,” he said.

The company has funded its latest expansion with the help of Danske Bank, and now boasts 16 vehicles.

Airporter runs regular connections from Londonderry to Belfast International and George Best Belfast City airports.
