Project Manager / Programme (PMO) Analyst

Role description
My client is a real indigenous success story, exporting globally with an exceptional reputation for quality. Working within the internal & client facing Programme Office, this is a new role supporting the full portfolio of client deliveries within the organisation. This is an opportunity to join at the beginning of new internal functionality within the Programme Office, where they develop more consolidated reporting and delivery metrics across all client project deliveries. This means that there will be growth and career development opportunity for the successful candidate as this function grows & develops over the next 18 months.

Responsibilities
• Assisting the Project Management team with the recording & reporting within the Programme Office.
•Developing plans through understanding key project requirements and co-ordinating plans across work streams
• Embedding procedures within major projects, ensuring internal adoption of formalised management models & reporting. This will include developing new functionality within the overall Programme reporting function
• Supporting progress reporting, risk / issue / action / dependency management and financial controls in relation to the programme, project or initiative
• Both internally across all functions of the business and externally with end clients, ensuring that all deliverable's are completed on time and to quality
• Project related administration and ad-hoc activities to support the wider team

To qualify you must possess:
• Genuine interest in managing and delivering projects, with an emphasis on improving the systems that are already in place
• Awareness of project management methodologies (example PRINCE 2), including knowledge of structured of project management techniques, e.g. planning, risk management, financial management, resource management & consolidated Programme reporting
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Good team player and can also work well using initiative
• Drive and motivation to develop yourself and your career
• The successful candidate must have strong Excel skills and a strong knowledge of MS Project would be highly beneficial.
